品牌CEO Alessandro Bogliolo在第二财季的电话会议上表示,除了布局咖啡门店外,还将在北京国际机场新增一间免税店。会上还讨论了品牌将加紧开发新产品、新系列,并优化官网搜索引擎。
品牌第二季度全球销售额下滑3%至10亿美元,而可比销售下滑4%。Bogliolo表示,中国香港地区的政治因素对品牌的业绩也造成了一些影响,同时也表达了对中美贸易战的担忧。
在本月初,Tiffany就宣布将在香港分别开设一间亚洲最大旗舰店及咖啡店,两家店铺分别于本月初和下月中旬开业。
Luxury jeweller Tiffany & Co is planning to open a Blue Box cafe in Shanghai as well as the one earlier announced in Hong Kong.
The new eateries will be the first permanent cafes launched by the brand outside its New York City flagship. The location of the Blue Box cafe in Shanghai was not revealed.
The plans were announced by the group’s CEO Alessandro Bogliolo during a conference call on the firm’s second-quarter results, however details were scant.
Bogliolo also revealed a new duty-free store will open at Beijing International Airport.
Other issues discussed during the call included the firm’s plans to speed up the development of new lines and products, and expectations to recover from a downturn in sales caused by a recent website overhaul that negatively impacted on its search engine optimisation.
Tiffany’s global sales dropped 3 per cent to US$1 billion during the second quarter, while comp-store sales dropped 4 per cent. Bogliolo said the decline was partially due to losing almost a week’s trading time during the Hong Kong protests.
The firm’s executive VP and CFO also voiced concerns about the US-China trade war.
Luxury jewellery retailer Tiffany & Co is set to open its largest flagship store in Asia at One Peking Road – and with it the first Blue Box Cafe in Hong Kong. The flagship and cafe – the first in Asia – will soft open early this month and mid next month respectively.

Balenciaga is the latest luxury brand to join the ranks, opening a boutique on the Second Floor. The interior design, concocted by the brand’s quirky creative director Demna Gvasalia, is understated and intentionally contains rough edges, resulting in an intriguing industrial setting with bare concrete surfaces, suspended steel clothing racks and shelving, and in stark contrast, carpeting in a neon blue shade.
Interestingly, and as far as we know it’s a global first, the immediate vicinity outside has been tweaked, given two chunky pillars bearing the fashion house’s name. The new Balenciaga store carries the brand’s men’s and women’s apparel, shoes and accessories.

The company said the restaurant will open on November 15, overtaking Tokyo as its biggest location of the lavish offshoot. The four-story Chicago Roastery is 43,000 square feet and is replacing a former Crate and Barrel location in the city's Magnificent Mile neighborhood.
Roasteries are intended to be tourist attractions in themselves. They feature specialty coffees and teas, on-premise roasters and massive coffee casks where freshly roasted beans are held. They also have bars with craft cocktails and serve fancier food than a normal Starbucks location.
When Starbucks announced the Chicago location in 2017, it said would be a "fully sensorial coffee environment" dedicated to roasting and brewing Starbucks' coffees from around the world. The location will also feature the company's artisan bakery concept, Princi.
Starbucks is also using the Roasteries to test out design concepts and menu items — and to double down on its promise of offering a "third place" between home and work, even as it focuses on speed and convenience elsewhere.
In total, Starbucks has six Roastery locations across the world including New York, Milan and Shanghai.
The company is aggressively opening restaurants, improving its technology, developing new products, and expanding its rewards program. The tactics are paying off: Sales at cafes open at least a year grew 6% globally in the third quarter, Starbucks announced in its most recent earnings report. Net sales also hit an all-time high of $6.8 billion. The stock is up 50% this year.
Apple’s largest store in Japan opens Saturday in Tokyo

In the heart of the Marunouchi business district, Apple will open its newest and largest store in Japan across from the historic Tokyo Station this Saturday, September 7.
Apple Marunouchi is Apple’s third store to open in Japan since last April as part of a multi-year retail investment and expansion in the country. Customers in Japan now have more space to discover Apple products, participate in a Today at Apple session or seek advice from a Genius.
Apple’s fifth store in Tokyo features a unique facade, with two-story vitrine windows made from specially cast aluminum to obtain three-dimensional rounded corners. The first of their kind, the windows allow the vibrant street life of the surrounding area to connect with the store.
Inside, native bamboo lines the window openings to bring the outside in. The double-height atrium in the heart of the store connects both levels and is the new home for Today at Apple in Tokyo.
The store will host world-class creators to lead Today at Apple sessions, kicking off with The Tokyo Creative Guild, a special 12-part series to celebrate the opening. At Apple Marunouchi, customers can get hands on with all of Apple’s products, get technical advice and support, and unlock their creativity with Creative Pros.
Over half of the 130 team members at Apple Marunouchi join from Apple stores across Japan. Collectively the team speaks 15 languages and are ready to welcome visitors from around the world.
Issey Miyake Osaka store opens in Semba

Fashion and fragrances label Issey Miyake has opened a new store in Japan, its design influenced by water.
The new Issey Miyake Osaka store is located in the Semba district that once prospered as an important waypoint for ships and boats.
The outlet’s basement floor features a creative space where people, objects and ideas related to Osaka and various other regions can interact. It will serve as a venue to showcase an array of experimental projects, including exhibits and events.
At an event to commemorate the store’s opening, the basement space will showcase artist Seitaro Kuroda’s open studio under its “fount of creativity” theme.
Kuroda will be freely inspired by the venue, creating an impromptu space with installations and paintings.
